In order for the install to continue it needs the older
"LibreOffice_5.2.2_Win_x86.msi" file. Since LibreOffice was first released
I have never saved these files and deleted them once I did the install from
the file, yet further updates always went fine. All of a sudden the file is
required. I can't find the file anywhere on the internet, and the
LibreOffice archive only has 5.2.2.1, 5.2.2.2, etc, all of which I have
tried to install from scratch or use as the needed file for an update, but
every time it states it requires "LibreOffice_5.2.2_Win_x86.msi" for the
install to continue. I am at a loss at this point because I can't install
any LibreOffice. Help!

Error 1714 is a well known failure of Microsoft's Installer Program (for
.msi files). This issue was encountered more frequently in the days of
Win XP, particularly for users of MS Office 2003, but can still raise
it's ugly head, even for users of Win 10.

Microsoft previously provided a "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility", but
no longer support it. In the past I have successfully used the utility
to resolve this problem on several computers. I am told, but cannot
confirm, that it still works on Windows 10.

BEWARE: Use at your own risk. Microsoft claims that "This tool _could_
damage some components of the operating system". Unless you are
comfortable using this kind of utility, you might wish to get help from
a more experienced computer user.
