Good afternoon

I did notice this before:
When I copy things, there is ALWAYS an extra space inserted before
anything that is copied.
For example, typing text, opening bracket -> copy something into the
bracket -> closing bracket.

The bracket is there and I want the copied text to be inserted WITHOUT
any space in front of it.
But so far all efforts to do so have failed.

Is there a way to turn this behavior off?
Otherwise I do have to remove this space manually each and every time I copy something.
In ordinary running text too: typing something -> last entry was
(habitually) a space -> you get two spaces,
one of which has to be removed.

Thank you in advance
Thomas
