Hi :)
I think it's fine to ask in here.  The LibreOffice Users List is the place to 
ask questions about LibreOffice and if you are using OpenOffice instead that is 
similar enough that it works in the same way.

The proper OpenOffice forums are at

I think they are also mostly fine about people asking questions about 
LibreOffice in there :)  There are always a few odd people around but they tend 
to be great at decent answers.  


I think mail-merge has quite a few different problems but hopefully someone here 
or there will be able to help you soon.

Subject: [libreoffice-users] Problem with Mail Merge

First, do I need to join a group in order to request help?



Second, I am running the old OpenOffice 3.2.1 under Windows.



I am attempting to use mail merge to put address information on a newsletter
I am sending out.

I have opened the file with the newsletter, selected Tools > Mail Merge
Wizard.  I am able to select

"Use the Current Document" and Document type.  When I attempt to click
option 2 under "Insert

Address block" it is grayed out and I cannot get past this point.
